The Taste of Freedom

Twenty years ago, the Berlin Wall was torn down. The 28-mile-long Berlin Wall stood as a border between East and West Berlin from 1961 to 1989.

Many people have lost their life at the Berlin wall trying to escape east germany and many made it to the other side! East Germany was run by communist leaders, a country where bananas and oranges were a luxury and the freedom of speech and to travel was prohibited.

It's probably hard to comprehend for most amercians what it's like to live a sheltered life. What it's like to stand on one side not being able to cross the boarder. While it's easy to point at all the things that are wrong here, be grateful instead for your freedom and the right to choose and all the great opportunities in front of you. This is a great example that everything is possible! No wall is too big to be torn down. Nothing is impossible. Personally, I like the taste of freedom.

Cheers to that!
