I love working out, for the most part of my life, I've always been active, either running, the Gym, several workout DVD's or Yoga. Change-up is fun and keeps it interesting.
It's not always easy to start but once I start, it's on! I love the challenge, most importantly the way I feel and look after. The more I work out, the better I eat, my body stops craving shitty foods. I sleep better and feel happier, more energetic in general. Although it might not be as easy in the beginning, it's all do-able and I can feel my body getting stronger with time.
There's a saying "How you do one thing is how you do everything".
Working out goes way beyond just the physical aspect, a strong body builds a strong mind and character. Through our workouts we become stronger, have a better attitude, due to the endorphins that are being released (a natural high) We are more likely to adapt and deal with daily stress and difficult situations in our lives.
Just like our mind and body gets stronger from working out, our songwriting, recording and playing muscles get stronger the more we do it! And that applies to anything you do, your art, your expertise.
I decided a while back that I'm doing music full time, and it's still a challenge but at the same time, I'm in the drivers seat and it's up to me to to make things happen.
"Nothing happens until something moves"...so get your groove on, get out there, go for a walk, get in the gym, take a yoga class. Take time for yourself! Connect with the strength inside of you and watch it reflect in everything else you do!
Okay, time to jump in the shower and start writing.
;)
